YOUR MUSIC. YOUR PRIVACY.
Privacy Policy
Effective September 20, 2026
Tunelith keeps your everyday music library on your device. This policy explains the limited situations where information is processed online and the choices you control.
Information Tunelith handles
Tunelith is designed as an offline-first music player. Most library information—including imported audio files, song metadata, playlists, favorites, playback settings, and search history—is stored locally on your device.
If you create an account, Tunelith may process your email address, account identifier, display name, username, profile image, and authentication information. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are not visible to Tunelith.
When music or listening data leaves your device
Your audio files are not uploaded during ordinary playback. Data leaves your device only when you deliberately use an online feature.
- Listening-stat sync: If you choose Save, Tunelith stores a snapshot tied to your account. It may include song titles, artists, albums, play counts, listening time, recent listening dates, and small artwork thumbnails.
- Sharing: If you choose to share a song, album, or playlist, the selected audio, artwork, metadata, and description are uploaded so the recipient can access them. Share links expire automatically.
- Device transfer: If you create a transfer code, the selected library data—including audio, artwork, playlists, and listening history—is uploaded temporarily so it can be downloaded on another device. Transfer data expires or is removed after the transfer is claimed.
How information is used
We use information only to operate Tunelith: authenticate accounts, provide profile features, restore optional listening-stat snapshots, complete sharing and device transfers, confirm paid access, respond to support requests, prevent abuse, and maintain the service. Tunelith does not sell personal information, display third-party advertising, or use your information for cross-app tracking.
Purchases
Purchases made in the iOS app are processed by Apple. Web purchases are processed by Stripe. Tunelith may receive transaction status, product, and entitlement information needed to unlock Lifetime access, but does not receive or store your complete payment-card details.
Service providers
Tunelith relies on service providers to operate certain features, including Apple for in-app purchases, Supabase for authentication and account profiles, Stripe for web payments, Google when you choose Google sign-in, and Cloudflare/OpenAI Sites infrastructure for hosting, temporary transfers, shared files, and saved listening-stat snapshots. These providers process information under their own privacy terms and security practices.
Retention and deletion
Local library data remains on your device until you delete it, remove the app, or clear its storage. Shared and transferred files are retained only for the feature’s limited availability period. Account-linked information is retained while your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and prevent abuse.
You can request account deletion from your Tunelith account settings. A 30-day recovery period may apply before the request is finalized. You can also clear listening statistics within the app.
Security and your choices
We use reasonable safeguards intended to protect information, but no storage or transmission method is completely secure. Online features are optional: you may use core local playback without uploading your music, and you control whether to save statistics, share music, or create a device transfer.
Children, changes, and contact
Tunelith is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. We may update this policy when Tunelith changes; the date at the top will show the latest revision.
